Las Vegas is truly a terrific place to visit - no matter when you go you will find the city to be one of the most exciting places to be. From gaming options to elegant hotels, to dining, shopping opportunities - Las Vegas does have it all!

Traveling to Las Vegas could not be easier. Las Vegas is one of the top US travel spots, so it is relatively easy to book flights there from any major area, with several airlines hosting multiple non stop flights each day to Las Vegas. With literally thousands of hotels rooms to fill, the area is very competitive with trying to fill those rooms each night. Unless you are traveling at a peak convention time, you can really get a good deal - even at top hotel names like Paris and the Mirage.

Once you arrive at the Las Vegas airport it is a short cab ride to Las Vegas Blvd, or as it is known, “the Strip”, which is where most major hotels are located. Rental cars are available, but for the most part they are unnecessary if you are planning to spend most of your time on and around the strip. If you are traveling to surrounding areas such as the Hoover Dam or to the Fremont Street Area you may want to consider renting a car. When staying on the strip it is important to note the Las Vegas Monorail is a great option when getting from hotel to hotel. Keep in mind that the Las Vegas land is very “flat”, so when you are standing in front of Mandalay Bay at the south end of the strip and you see the Mirage hotel - which is located towards the middle area of the strip, it might look very close and walkable - DO NOT be fooled by this - unless the hotels are right next to each other or attached in some way - it is usually too far to walk. Also keep in mind the heat of Las Vegas makes it even harder to consider walking. Taxis and the monorail are readily available and reasonably priced - consider taking them to visit other hotels - it is worth the few dollars.

Of course a city like Las Vegas is known for its gaming, which is available every where you look - in the hotels, the airport and even in local supermarkets in the Las Vegas area. It is nearly impossible to stay in a major Las Vegas hotel and not pass through a casino - to get to your room, to go to eat, even find the pool, you will be walking through a casino. Las Vegas offers thousands of slot machines, with the latest in slot games. Also table games including roulette, blackjack, and even poker can be found in every casino. Sports betting and Keno are also popular in Las Vegas.

In addition to gaming you can find top dining spots in the city - from five star experiences, celebrity owned restaurants to all night buffets - and 2.00 steak dinners - you can find it all in Las Vegas. It is difficult to choose with so many options - you can sample cuisine from all over the world when traveling to Las Vegas. Entertainment options are as vast as the dining - with shows in nearly every hotel - from magicians to showgirls to full scale shows by Cirque Du Soeil - most popular shows book up months in advance. Plan out what you want to see before visiting.
Las Vegas continues to be a top travel destination, as it always seems new and exciting - even to visitors who travel there frequently. There is always a new hotel being built or one being updated with a new “theme”, new shows and restaurants seem to pop up all the time - it is impossible to see all the city has to offer in one visit - so many people find themselves visiting again and again. A trip to Las Vegas will convince you that it is one of the most exciting places to visit!
